Caryl Kenworth, NP
Nurse practitioner
Caryl brings 30 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and 3 years as a certified health and wellness coach to her role as a nurse practitioner at BioLounge. She is passionate about learning about her patient’s unique biology and supporting their journeys to optimal health and wellness through personalized healthcare services.
She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology at Georgetown University and her Master of Science degree in nursing at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. As a registered nurse transitioning into advanced clinical practice, she has primarily worked in primary care, emergency room, and urgent care settings. Intrigued by the intricate connection between the mind and body, she pursued additional training in health and wellness coaching and now functional medicine, further expanding her ability to address complex health conditions.
Trained in Western medicine and disease prevention, she realized the limitations of disease-focused care and joined BioLounge to identify health concerns before they develop into chronic illness. Through comprehensive advanced health assessment methods, including diagnostic tests and a thorough look at external influences such as environment, lifestyle, and laboratory markers, she enjoys partnering with patients to develop treatment plans that optimize health management and overall well-being.
Caryl has lectured for a variety of community and corporate groups and has offered workshops to enhance understanding of how the body functions, how to decrease stress, and how to promote wellness. She is especially passionate about women's health and providing comprehensive patient care that supports long-term vitality.
