Hormone Replacement Therapy

BioLounge services: Hormone replacement therapy

Restore energy, clarity, and metabolic health with a personalized, data-driven approach to hormone therapy.

Hormone Imbalance Isn’t Just About Hormones

Fatigue, weight gain, low libido, poor sleep, and brain fog are often blamed on hormones—but hormones are rarely the only issue.

At BioLounge, we take a precision medicine approach to hormone replacement therapy (HRT), evaluating the full picture:

  • Metabolic health
  • Nutrition and micronutrient status
  • Stress and cortisol patterns
  • Sleep quality
  • Inflammation and gut health

Because lasting hormone balance requires more than simply replacing hormones—it requires understanding why they became imbalanced in the first place.

What Makes Our Approach Different

Most clinics prescribe hormones based on symptoms alone. We don’t.

Our providers are experienced in integrating clinical expertise with advanced diagnostics to create individualized treatment plans that address both:

  • Hormone levels
  • The underlying systems driving imbalance

This includes:

  • Comprehensive lab evaluation
  • Functional and conventional biomarkers
  • Ongoing monitoring and dose adjustment

The goal is not just symptom relief—it’s long-term metabolic and physiologic stability.

Ongoing Care Through Membership

Hormone optimization is not a one-time prescription—it requires monitoring, adjustment, and long-term strategy.

Our Precision Health Membership provides:

  • Ongoing lab tracking
  • Continuous provider access
  • Longitudinal optimization of hormone levels and overall health

Start with a Comprehensive Evaluation

Your plan begins with a detailed assessment of your symptoms, labs, and overall health.

From there, we create a targeted, personalized strategy to restore balance and improve how you feel—and function.

What is hormone replacement therapy?

Hormone replacement therapy restores natural hormone levels with tailored bioidentical hormone replacement therapy that is chemically identical to the bioidentical hormones in your body. Both men and women suffer from suboptimal hormone levels and can benefit from hormone replacement therapy.

What we treat

We work with both men and women experiencing:

  • Low testosterone
  • Low estrogen/progesterone symptoms related to perimenopause and menopause symptoms
  • Low libido and sexual health concerns
  • Fatigue, brain fog, and weight changes

Hormone therapy is often part of the solution—but always within a broader, personalized plan.

What is male HRT or TRT?

Men may benefit from TRT replacement therapy when their production of testosterone slows. Testosterone is a hormone that the testicles produce to maintain sexual function, bone density, sperm production, and more. It plays a crucial role in male reproductive development and health throughout growth and the aging process. Although testosterone production naturally slows by about 1% every year after the age of 30, having abnormally low testosterone levels is called hypogonadism. ow testosterone can significantly impact the way you look and feel. Although low levels of testosterone affect every man differently, some of the most common signs and symptoms of this hormonal change include low libido, erectile dysfunction, increased abdominal fat, loss of body hair, thinning hair, trouble concentrating, depression, reduced muscle mass, hot flashes, and infertility (lowered sperm count).

What is female HRT?

Female hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is a personalized medical treatment used to restore and balance declining or fluctuating hormone levels—primarily estrogen and progesterone, and in some cases testosterone—most commonly during perimenopause and menopause. At BioLounge, female HRT is approached through a precision lens, meaning therapy is guided by symptoms, comprehensive lab testing, and an evaluation of underlying factors such as metabolism, stress, and overall health. The goal is not only to relieve symptoms like hot flashes, sleep disruption, anxiety, depression, low libido, and weight changes, but to support long-term health, including bone density, cardiovascular function, and cognitive well-being.

Are there different forms of hormone replacement therapy?

There are many different types of testosterone hormone therapy, including creams, oral lozenges and tablets, injections, and pellets. Your BioLounge provider can help you decide which treatment plan is right for you.

What are bioidentical hormones?

Bioidentical hormones have the same chemical structure as the hormones your body naturally produces. Conversely, synthetic hormones aren’t chemically the same as your natural hormone levels, leading to a heightened risk of side effects. Research supports short-term and long-term benefits of hormone replacement therapy when using bioidentical forms of HRT.

What is pellet therapy?

A clinician inserts rice-sized pellets underneath the skin in your buttocks to gradually release bioidentical hormone replacement therapy into your system. Unlike alternative options, pellets begin to absorb directly into your bloodstream for the quickest relief possible as soon as they are placed. Over a 3–4 month period, the pellet gradually dissolves. Not only is pellet therapy effective, but the team can also tailor your treatment plan to target your unique needs.  Hormone replacement therapy with pellets takes about 7–10 days to take effect, and most patients experience noticeable results 2 weeks after pellet placement.

Treatment options

Your treatment is tailored based on your physiology, preferences, and goals.

Options may include:

  • Testosterone therapy (TRT)
  • Estrogen and progesterone therapy (HRT)
  • Thyroid optimization
  • Peptide and adjunctive therapies
  • Nutritional and lifestyle interventions

Hormones can be delivered through various methods (e.g., injections, pellets, creams, or patches), depending on what best supports consistent levels and outcomes for your unique needs.
